KARACHI: Former Test cricketer Kamran Akmal is making the most of his time with players in Peshawar Zalmi's camp.
Akmal, who was appointed as batting mentor in Zalmi's squad for a week, was spotted guiding youngsters like Saim Ayub, Mohammad Haris and Haseebullah in the nets.
The cricketer, who announced his retirement from all forms of the game earlier this week, worked personally with the players. His presence in the camp must be crucial for the youngsters as he is also the selector of Pakistan men's team.
It must be noted here that Kamran went unpicked in PSL 8 players' draft. The right-handed batter is currently the second-highest run-scorer after Babar Azam.
Babar practicing against spinners
Babar was seen doing immense practice against spinners during his team's practice sessions. The ICC Cricketer of the Year (2022) mostly batted against the spinners in the nets.
Babar looked a bit shaky against leg-spinners the other day but Zalmi's batting mentor Kamran kept on guiding him in the nets.
Peshawar Zalmi's PSL 8 campaign
Under the leadership of Babar, Zalmi will start their PSL 8 campaign against Karachi Kings on February 14 in Karachi.
